Scammers captured London ATMs
In London, four members of a group of scammers who stole more than 300 thousand pounds sterling from ATMs were convicted. The court sentenced them to 14 years in prison.
Scammers used explosive gas to break into ATMs. Criminals acted mainly at night, penetrated into cafes and shops and opened ATMs from inside the building. The fraudsters pleaded guilty to all the episodes they committed in 2015 and 2016.
In addition, the London police warn of built-in point cameras in a number of ATMs. The cameras were masked for false overlays. Such devices record PIN codes, which customers enter when servicing the card.
